Back among the Blogging!

I realize I have been MIA for a little while here, but I have a good excuse! For the past 5 1/2 weeks, I have been so incredibly busy with school! My schooling is a fast pace thing anyway. Depending on your part or full time status, you complete one or two whole classes in 5 1/2 short weeks! This is great for me, because I'm the kind of person who needs to see results happen quickly, but. . .
I have been attending only part time which isn't bad at all. You only have one class at a time to keep track of, but because I took the first of two sessions in this quarter off, I had to double up and take both classes at the same time during the second session. This should not have been a big deal (especially because work has been slow, giving me more time to focus on school during the day) BUT, both classes were very involved and time consuming! I finally finished these classes on Saturday and needless to say, I am still lacking some sleep after several weeks of spending late nights and weekends trying to keep up!
The good news is that I'm back among the blogging AND I can boast that I have managed to complete these two tough classes and still maintain my A so far!
Here is just one of my MANY projects for my Perspectives class!

Was this a sketch or photo you had to do? What was the actual assign.? (I've found the assignments you've posted so far very interesting - thought the magazine design you did was so cool)

It was a hand drawn sketch scanned in. I started with a blank paper and just drew what popped into my head as I went along.

We studied the different perspectives (1pt. 2pt. 3pt. etc.). I had to draw something in 3pt. perspective (you'll notice the markings VP1, VP2, and VP3. VP=vanishing point. Also, HL=horizon line, and orthogonal lines are all the distracting lines you see everywhere otherwise known as guide lines. We were required to leave these in the drawing for the instructor to see that we did it all right I guess.). It could be something real, futuristic, invented or whatever, but I think this one had to be a cityscape - hence my office building.

I feel as though I am listening to Bud discuss his classes. Got a very general concept but mostly very lost. The final product is very cool though!
