SURPRISE!

Last weekend, Jon and I were in Massena. I hosted a surprise Bridal Shower for one of my good friends who is getting married in May. The Massena church has a lady’s meeting once every month. Different people host it and have different activities. We’ve had an evening meeting with snacks, a Saturday brunch, a cookie exchange, etc. We’ve also had a variety of topics. Mine was supporting one another.

Everyone makes mistakes, and it’s nice to be reminded that you’re not a loser because something doesn’t go right or you struggle with something. There’s almost always someone you know who can empathize with what you’re going through. This is what I wanted to share with Tandy as she prepares to become a wife.

We had a few little activities to help and encourage Tandy, lots of gifts (lots of goodies from such a small group!), and oh yeah, you bet we had food!

Here are some pictures! Notice everything is pink. Tandy is using pink and silver for her wedding color scheme.

Some of the gifts included. . .
A laundry basket full of cleaning supplies, etc.,

A cooler full of baking supplies, spices, and kitchen gadgets (from all of us together),
And some money for her Happily Ever After Fund!
Tandy with the cake. (Yes, that is a strawberry moat! There was also strawberries in the middle with the cool whip. The cake was a white cake colored pink! Notice the castle flags made by yours truely. They had little pink double hearts on them.)
The sandwhiches were cut in heart shapes.
The pink. . . ish punch in my beautiful punch bowl! (Thanks Melanie! The first time it's been used! It also works as a salad bowl, cake plate, or candle holder HA HA!) Sorry the candle holder thing is an inside joke.

Yeah! I'm so glad you liked your punch/cake/salad bowl!! I'll be waiting to see some pictures of how you plan to use it as a candle holder ;)
