The Day After...

I never ever would have guessed that this election would have been so disturbing for me. I find myself being reminded of 9-11 and that next morning saying to mom, "I can't believe that really happened" Although, those aren't my exact words. But I have been so encouraged as this election has come and gone, there is one "phrase" (I guess you could call it) that I have heard from several people, and they all have said, "On Wednesday morning, no matter who is president, God will still be in charge!" I'm so very encouraged by that! I'm sure many have seen this, but here it is again:
Top Ten Outcomes in this Election
1. The Bible will still have all of the answers.
2. Prayer will still work.
3. The Holy Spirit will still move.
4. God will still inhabit the praise of His people.
5. God will still pour out His blessings upon His people.
6. There will still be God-anointed teaching and preaching.
7. There will still be singing of praise to God.
8. There will still be room at the Cross.
9. Jesus will still love His own.
10. Jesus will still save the lost.

I was thinking of this very list, even though I couldn't remember them all, as I wrote my post last night. Whats said & done.. is done! Even still, it is TRULY COMFORTING to know OUR GOD is in control. We dont have to "vote" for him every year, for he is ALWAYS present & will forever win in the end! That gives me peace! =)

I am right with you, I am heart sick but not as distraught as I imagined I would be. I told John the same thing, we still serve the same God we did Sunday morning, and Monday morning, and Tuesday morning. There is a peace in knowing that nothing has "caught God by surprise" that He raises up kings and leaders not always who we would like or for reasons we like but I believe He does.

Hi Leah!

I am glad that you think enough of my blog to share it with others. I have truly enjoyed blogging over the past year and have found it to be a great encouragement in my walk with HIM.

Blessings,

Ali
