Baby Update

First let me say don't get too used to this whole idea of getting weekly updates or anything. I decided long ago that when the time came I wouldn't do such things. Fact is there's not much to tell. I've been feeling good (definitely more energetic lately), eating good (finally increased appetite), and sleeping good about half of the time. Also, there's not much to see if I DID post pictures (which I most likely won't be doing). In other news, we're at 18 weeks (Tomorrow) and the little one keeps growing AND moving - lots! We've had two Dr. visits with good heart rate, etc. and another appt. in two weeks. This will be the big one! We'll see more pictures, AND providing the baby cooperates, we'll get to find out if we need to pick out pink or blue things for the nursery. We're getting more and more excited! It seems like things are finally coming together. I've found nursery bedding I like for both girl and boy (Different sets of course) and my brain is in full gear (Finally) with plans and ideas for decor. We've also chosen names that we both actually agree on (It's all down hill from here! :-) And don't ask. We won't tell.). We have also started the long process of cleaning out the "computer room" to be converted to the "nursery". We found the dresser/changing table/hutch we wanted on craigslist in great shape and for a fraction of the price, so we already have that (which is nice because it gives us someplace to put the few baby items that have been trickling in). I also have the crib, rocking chair, car seat, stroller, pack-n-play, etc. all picked out (they're neutral so it doesn't matter). I know, I'm a bit pathetic when it comes to planning ahead, but that's just the way I am when I get excited about something. Besides, I figure the more I get done now, the less I have to do later - especially once I get big and uncomfortable! Then I can just fuss with "nit-picky" details. Anyway, that's pretty well it for your exciting update. I'm desperately trying to eat any time I can to gain weight to pacify my Dr. She seems a bit antsy about that. I tried telling her I haven't gained weight in forever and basically will gain what and when I need, but she still wants 10lb before my next visit! She may get half of that with my newly overactive appetite. . .

WooHoo!! the 6th is coming!! Can't believe it already. Baby C will be here before you know it, really...though it won't feel that way by the end I know.
