Nosey Daisy

So I just wanted to share some pictures with you about our little Daisy-Doo. She is quite the nosy little girl. Most of the time she gets covered because it's bedtime and that seems to keep her a little quieter with her blanky over her. Some times she just gets covered because she is being a miserable little cuss and squawking incredibly loudly. In the first picture you see that her blanket covers her pretty well, but should you ever put her blanket on and there is a gap at the bottom, you get the other two pictures. She knows that there are people out there, and what a tragedy it would be if she missed something. Anyway, just thought that we would share. Maybe we'll show you some other pictures of when she thinks she's a bat.

Oh that is funny! I had one that would pick away at the towel we covered her with, leave little "balls" of towel everywhere.

Oh yes, we have found her with big strings from her towel like halfway down her throat or something! She also has a thing for lost feathers. I'm not sure if it bothers her that they are in her cage of what, but she frequently has a very long tail feather sticking out on either side of her beak like a dog with its bone! She normally gets it stuck between the bars and ends up dropping it outside the cage (thus the thought that maybe they bother her.)

Funny stuff! It's surprising that you caught it on camera though. Pets & kids seem to have this innate ability to know when they are about to be photographed or videoed doing something cute because they will always stop doing it instantly!

Well what did you expect? Heaven forbid she miss anything (including the camera flash)! Jon purposely covered her and got his camera ready then pulled the blanket up just a bit and sure enough there she was just as always! We have been so amused and amazed at what a big personality she has for being such a "dumb" little bird! She hasn't really attempted to talk or whistle or anything, but. . . she's pretty easy to understand most of the time! (K sorry I sounded a little strange there for a minute - oh well it's way past my bed time!)

That is just too funny! Animals definitely have personality. They arent as dumb as some people think.

It was so good to see you yesterday at the party.
